ADC Recognizes Local Defense Community Champion at Fort Lee

FORT LEE, Va. (Nov. 14, 2025) — The Association of Defense Communities (ADC) recognized Mike Flanagan as a Defense Community Champion during the Fort Lee change-of-command ceremony on Nov. 14, honoring his volunteer leadership and sustained contributions to strengthening military–community partnerships across the Capital Region.

The ADC Defense Community Champion recognition highlights individuals who advance ADC’s mission by fostering collaboration between military installations and the communities that support them. Flanagan was recognized for his work in civil-military engagement, workforce development, and advocacy supporting service members, families, and veterans.
