Fort Lee Commanding General’s New Year Community Reception

More than 150 community leaders, CaRMA members, and volunteer organizations gathered on 21 January for the New Year Community Reception hosted by MG Sean Davis, Commanding General at Fort Lee, and his wife Camille. This marked their first community event since the 14 November change of command.

The reception stood out as one of the largest and most engaging of its kind, with guests arriving early and staying late. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—more family gathering than formal reception. Remarks were provided by MG Davis and COL Rich Bendelewski, Garrison Commander. Attendees also viewed a 2025 highlight video capturing major community milestones, including Enclave meetings, the Army 250 celebration, and the Spouses Tour.

During his remarks, MG Davis publicly recognized CaRMA for its leadership in promoting the Adopt a Soldier program during the recent holiday season—highlighting CaRMA’s continued role in strengthening connections between the installation and the surrounding communities.
